Urban gardening is the new 'organic' life style for western capitalist culture. A contemporary commoditisation of the desire for nature, the natural and the sustainable. The film researchs self-organised gardens in Wuhan, China - a highly temporary phenomenon. We see fragments from gardenings, which soon will be demolished by China's increasing modernisation and its massive construction boom. At the same time we can in the details of the images, see trace of profound skill of how to construct support structures for plants to survive.

Urban gardening ist der neue 'organische' Lebensstil für die westliche kapitalistische Kultur. Ein zeitgenösses zur-Ware-machen des Verlangens nach Natur, dem Natürlichen und dem Nachhaltigen. Der Film recherchiert selbst organisierte Gärten in Wuhan, China. Ein sehr temporäres Phänomen. Wir sehen Fragmente von Gartenarbeiten, welche bald durch die Erhöhte Modernisierung Chinas und seinen enormen Bauboom zerstört werden. Gleichzeitig können wir in den Details der Bilder, Spuren fundierter Fähigkeiten sehen, von dem, wie man Strukturen zur Unterstützung von Pflanzen, um zu überleben, konstruieren kann.
